Repetitive tasks can get dull and boring, but they can also be unhealthy because of the repeated stress they put on your body. Your muscles easily fatigue when grasping tools for extended periods of time. NASA and General Motors collaborated to take technology from the NASA Space Robots and bring it to back to earth in the form of a wearable glove that can alleviate stress from the hand. The newscaster in the video below suggests that the glove can reduce the amount of force needed to grasp something from 15-20 pounds down to 5-10 pounds. Even this slight change can help to increase the amount of time a worker can carry out their tasks before becoming tired.
